Some have already done theatre, others are approaching it for the first time. The Social and Community Theatre workshop continues with second-generation young people from Lebanon and Morocco and a group of their Italian peers, as part of the project Il mondo in una stanza, among the winners of the national call “Migrarti 2018 – Show”.
From the first exercises on the use of the body in space, we move on to exercises of mutual knowledge and explore the expectations of the group.
After the team-building phase, the young people are preparing to conduct, accompanied by the facilitators, interviews with their families and the families of their peers, which will give life to the score of the final show. The performance is in fact built from the individual stories, experiences and culture of the migrant communities permanently residing in the Turin area. The interviews will focus on the theme of “home”: the home in the country of origin, the current home, the dreamed home.
