CareStories, winner of the Culture of Solidarity call promoted by the European Cultural Foundation and the CRT Foundation, is a local and European project involving Italy, Poland and Greece with the aim of creating a network of “cultural walks” for the entire population – particularly the elderly – residing in inland areas and who have experienced periods of severe stress and isolation during the Covid pandemic.
CareStories has contributed to strengthening, through workshops and Social and Community Theater actions, the positive resources and resilience of the participants by promoting a culture of health that passes through cultural and social activities.
The project was carried out in collaboration with Brama Theatre – Poland and Omma Studio – Greece at the European level, and by Asl To3, Dors, the municipality of Giaveno, Perosa Argentina and Susa at the local level.

The project’s objective was to create three social and community theater programs in the three European regions involved, during which the participating individuals co-designed several cultural walks in the proximal territory and shared stories and tales related to the local natural and cultural heritage.
The developed cultural-naturalistic routes were then included in a dedicated online platform and printed on materials accessible to local residents and nearby tourists, in order to promote knowledge of the areas involved through the direct voice of their inhabitants.
