FATE – Future Academy on Tour in Europe is a Creative Europe project that aims to promote inclusion and equal opportunities for artists with a migratory background in the arts and culture sector.
It promotes training and mentoring courses and aims to create connections between migrants, refugees and people with European citizenship, through the use of performing arts, training and inclusion programs and the creation of job opportunities in the cultural sector.
The project focuses on the development, implementation and analysis of a working method that uses the performing arts for the inclusion of the professionals involved, through the implementation of training courses with groups in Spain (partner Atalaya Teatro) and the Netherlands (lead partner ZID Theatre), the creation of a descriptive Manual of the methodology used by the project, and networking actions between the groups involved in the training and local cultural organizations and institutions.
The project is led by the Dutch company Zid Theatre in partnership with SCT Centre | University of Turin, Atalya Teatro (Spain), Studio 7 (Germany), DAH Teater (Serbia). Within the project activities, SCT Centre is responsible for the evaluation of the training activity of artists with a migratory background; the support and supervision of networking work between the professionals participating in the training and local cultural organizations and institutions; the supervision of the dissemination of project results, including, in particular, the organization of 5 national conferences in each country involved in the project; the supervision of the creation of the Manual that will contain the reasoned list of exercises carried out by partners during the training carried out in Spain and the Netherlands.
