SCT Centre organized theater workshops for children aged 6 to 13 in summer camps to play and grow together.
These theater workshops were part of the program of La Bella Estate (The Beautiful Summer), a project promoted by the Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation and the Xké? ZeroTredici Consortium.
The workshops organized by the SCT Centre were:
PARTECIPATION INFORMATION
IL PAGURO NON HA PAURA (The hermit crab is not afraid)
A theatrical workshop that, through play and creative expression, helped children to face fear. Through theater, they learned to know themselves better, to relate to other people and to develop their creativity. Together, they built a story exploring universal themes such as fear and courage through different languages, from movement to drawing.
CONNESSIONI (Connections)
Through play and theater, the workshop explored body language and relationships with other people. Starting from a fairy tale and then moving on to the “mise en espace”, children learned to use their bodies to communicate, to move in space and to find their own voice. The goal was to develop awareness of themselves and other people.
MATHEMART: MATHEMATICS THROUGH THEATRE WORKSHOPS
A workshop that turns mathematics into a fun game. Combining theater and numbers, the participating children experienced a creative approach to learning, overcoming fears and prejudices. Through role-playing and body expression, mathematics became an adventure to experience together.
FUORI LA LINGUA! (Freeing the Tongue): A THEATRE WORKSHOP ABOUT PLAYING WITH ENGLISH
A theatrical workshop of linguistic, expressive and bodily exploration in which children participated in theatrical activities (games, improvisations, etc.) and played to explore, creatively, their expressive potential through the English language.
