TIM^2 – Theatre in Mathematics is a continuation of the previous TIM – Theatre in Mathematics, designed to address the main challenges in teaching and learning mathematics at the EU level.
TIM^2 aims to refine and consolidate the results TIM‘s results. The main objective is to design a teaching method and assessment tools that teachers and educators can use to teach mathematics. The focus is on improving the mathematical skills of primary and lower secondary school students through the combination of theatre-based methodologies such as Community Social Theatre and Image Theatre.
The main activity of the project is the implementation of the TIM^2 methodology, tools, and exercises, along with the design of a series of evaluation tools to measure the effectiveness of the methodology in improving mathematical skills and increasing the well-being of both students and teachers.
The methodology will be rolled out in Italy, Norway, Greece, and Portugal through training courses for educators. Additionally, a theatrical conference on the gender gap in mathematics education will be held in these countries.
